Project Overview

ADY-HV continues to play a critical role in supporting Network Rail’s national power upgrade programme, delivering ongoing HV cable jointing and termination works across multiple project sites. These works form part of broader traction and non-traction infrastructure upgrades — including substation refurbishments, feeder renewals, and capacity reinforcement schemes.
Our scope includes the installation of Pfisterer size 2, 3, 3XL and 4 terminations, along with Cooper T-bolt connectors, Raychem indoor and outdoor terminations, and 3M cold-applied jointing systems. These high-voltage applications are delivered across varied rail environments — from busy operational substations to greenfield power supply upgrades — ensuring long-term network resilience and electrical reliability.

Scope of Works

  • Installation of Pfisterer separable connectors (sizes 2–4) on indoor and outdoor switchgear and transformers.
  • Use of Raychem (Tyco) termination kits for both indoor panels and exposed outdoor connections.
  • Application of 3M cold-applied jointing and termination systems for fast, secure, tool-less installations.
  • Cooper T-bolt connector installation for low-resistance mechanical bonding across HV terminations.
  • Substation interface works, including cable glanding, earthing, and sealing arrangements.
  • Ongoing contribution to site commissioning, red-line mark-ups and energisation documentation.
