Project Overview

Crossrail – now operating as the Elizabeth line – represents one of Europe’s largest and most technically complex urban rail programmes. Reliable power distribution is vital to keep tunnelling systems, stations, signalling, rail systems and rolling stock operational. ADY‑HV was engaged to deliver specialist cable jointing and termination services across designated areas of the Crossrail power network, spanning both non‑traction (auxiliary) and single‑phase 25kV traction feeds. Our remit combined precision installation with rigorous testing and commissioning support to ensure each power circuit entered service safely, on time and in full compliance with rail standards.

Scope of Works

  • Jointing works on 11kV and 22kV non‑traction distribution circuits supporting stations, shafts, plant rooms and railway systems.
  • Installation and jointing on 25kV sing
  • Use of approved jointing and termination systems from 3M, Tyco / TE Connectivity (Raychem) and Pfisterer, selected to meet Crossrail engineering specifications and environmental conditions.
  • Assistance with electrical testing regimes – including insulation resistance, VLF / pressure testing (as specified), continuity and phasing checks prior to energisation.
  • Commissioning support: documentation, punch‑list resolution, red‑line mark‑ups and sign‑off packs to aid interface with principal contractors and rail stakeholders.
